I am trying to gather info on the Nutt/Mcnutt families from Orange County from around 1840 on back. I know my G.G.Grandparents moved from there I just do not know when. I am also trying to find out whether or not he may have started out as Robert Nutt instead of Robert Mcnutt as we know he went by when they moved to VA. Also can someone tell me if records were kept on Births back in that time and possibly how I can locate them. My G.G.grandparents were Robert and Mary (Kate's) Mcnutt.
