    3. It is now called Ellerbee Creek. It rises just w of the Durham city limits near I-85 Exit 172 and floes ne thru Duham to the Neuse R. roughly paralleling I-85. It was once called Elliby or Alliby Creek, according to The NC Gazetteer.
