    2. Hi Grp, have not posted my surnames for quite awhile, so thought it would be my new years duty to do so to most of the lists I'm on.....the above surnames all inter-married in the 1700-early 1800, our direct ROACH line went to TN bef 1808....James ROACH + Ann THOMPSON lived on/near Haw River in the Hawfield's area of Old Orange Co. which is where Saxapahaw is today in Alamance Co. NC.Is anyone on this listed connected to these families?? FYI: There is a website, where you can access maps and find all the creeks/streams etc. and zoom in on them if you know the town or area your ancesters lived in Thanks, Sharon WA State ===================================================== One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries.-A.A. 2. Tiffany Thompson
    3. Sharon--I think that the Ann you are referring to was the sister of my direct ancestor John Thompson, a Scotch-Irish pioneer who settled in Alamance County...This is what I have: Ann Thompson ([email protected] in VA., d. after 1812 in Rutledge Grainger Cty., TN) was married in 1770 or so to James Roach (b. 1740 in VA d. 1792). They had 8 children. Do you know anything about Ann's parents?
