    2. I hesitate to mention this, but my Charles Thompson is such a brick wall, I'm willing to try anything. If you do not have any suggestions, I'll know why you don't respond! Charles Thompson (sometimes Thomson) left a will in Northamnpton County dated November 23, 1787. It named his wife, Joanna, and his children: Nicholas, Clarissa, Pamela, Ethelred, Hudson and Washington. Washington Thompson married Jerusha (possibly in Caldwell County, Kentucky) and moved on to Marengo County, Alabama. His daughter, Martha, married John M.C. Kirksey. Joana was Joana Washington, and the Washington line is well-documented. This is very brief, but I will be glad to share more definitive information with anyone interested in an exchange on this Thom(p)son line. 2. Several researchers have written asking the names of the families in the book---Twelve Northampton County, North Carolina Families Here are the names. I did several generations of each family, so if you have someone who married into one of these families, then more than likely your ancestor is in this book. All of these families lived near the Hertford Co. County line and most of these families ran back and forth from one county to another. Here is a list of the main families: Bridgers Daughtry, Futrell, Jenkins, Joyner, Lassiter, Martin, Odom, Parker, Stephenson, Sumner, and Woodard. Some one asked if the Bryant family is mentioned. They are mentions lots of time because they married into several of the families in the book. To tell you is your family is mentioned I would have to have his given name. Thank you all for your interest in the book.

    1. [NCNORTHA] Harris, Collier, Glover, Norwood Peebles
    2. Seeking information about William Glover and Mary Norwood Glover and Samuel Harris.??William and Mary had a daughter?Liddy who?married Samuel Harris ca 1745.? They were in Northampton Co. by 1845.? There were only two Harris' families listed in the records during this time, Arthur and Samuel Harris and they were both in the north ?western part of the county.? William Glover and? Samuel Harris were in the Beaverpond area.? Arthur in the Pea Hill Creek area.? I believe that Samuel and Liddey Harris had a son named Simon Harris who, according to a Collier family bible, married Mildred Howard.?Simon Harris owned land?on Beaverpond area that was at one time Glover property. ?Samuel and Liddy seem to have had a son named John, Simon, Nathan,? daughter Mourning, and Elizabeth ?who married Joseph Collier.? Ca 1793, after Simon's death, ?son John chose John Norwood as his guardian. This Simon Harris had a son Simon Harris, who moved ca 1845 to Limestone Co. AL.? He is my gr gr gr grandfather. I would appreciate hearing from anyone concerned with this family. Joyce McFarland? CMCFARL641@AOL.COM

    1. [NCNORTHA] "The Edwards of Northhampton" by Bruce Montgomery Edwards
    2. Donna Warlick
    3. The book "The Edwards of Northhampton" by Bruce Montgomery Edwards contains 19 pages with mention of Cullen Edwards, according to a search of Google Books. I am not able to borrow this book thru inter-libarary loan and and have been unable to find a library copy relatively close to my home. Is there someone on the list who could do a look-up for Cullen Edwards on those 19 pages?? I am looking for a Cullen/Cullin Edwards who was born about 1770 in North Carolina, received land in Georgia in the 1807 land lottery, and was living in Telfair County, Georgia from about 1808 until 1817. In 1825 a deed was recorded in Monroe County, Georgia, for land sold by Cullen Edwards of Gadsden County, Florida. I will appreciate any look-ups or information about a Cullen Edwards of Northhampton County. Donna Warlick
