Sarah L.5 Ricks (Ransom4, John3, Edward2, Jonas1), born about 1846 in Alabama, married A. E. Green 10 November 1871, in Prentiss County, Mississippi. Their bondsman was William F. Rider, husband of Sarah’s sister Martha. A. E. Green also appeared on the marriage bond for his brother-in-law, James E. Ricks, in 1872. A. E. and Sarah later lived in Monroe County, Mississippi, where they purchased a twenty-five acre farm located five miles south of Nettleton and six miles west of Amory. They farmed the land for two years and then sold it to Harvey P. Ricks. There was no further records for this family in Monroe County after 6 January 1885. Children of A. E.
