I'm new to the list researching my husband's HINES [given name Hartwell] ancestors in Marion/Fayette Cos. IL. 1850 census shows Hartwell HINES was b. in 1782 in NC. HINES surname Archives show a Hartwell Hines,Sr. who died ca 1825 in Nash Co NC. Exr of his will was James Hunter.
