    1. [NCNASH-L] Rhodes family
    2. Angela Rhodes
    3. Thought I would repost this again since families will be getting together for the holidays. Maybe someone might be able to make my Christmas. I am still searching for information on my ggg-grandparents Robert Rhodes and Candis Queen Clark. According to census information Robert was born in N.C. about 1812 and Candis was born in NC about 1814. Candis Clark married Robert Rhodes in 1837 in Orange Co., NC. Candis and Robert had children: Francis, William, Eliza, Teresa, Alexander, Unity, and John. Robert, Candis and family lived in Orange Co., according to the 1840, 1850 & 1860 censuses. I believe it to be part of Orange County that later became Durham County. In the 1860 census there is a Benton Rhodes age 35 and Agnes Rhodes age 16 in the house with Robert and Candis that wasn't there in 1850 and I can find no other record of either of these after 1860 census. Robert died about 1863 in Orange Co. I cannot find Candis on the 1870 census but do find her in 1880 in Nash Co., NC living with daughter Unity, son John, and 1 grandchild, Dover (Unity's daughter). Also there are church records in Nash County where Candis joined the Primitive Baptist church. I strongly believe she may have been a member of the Eno Primitive Baptist Church in Orange Co. before but have been unable to find out if any church records exist for this church (which is still in existance) I would like to find the names of parents and siblings for this Robert and Candis Clark Rhodes. If anyone has any information please contact me at angela@cocentral.com Thanks, Chris
