He married an Elizabeth Allen in Edgecombe-Nash, NC in 1742. They had two sons, John and Brinkley. John was my 4-great grandfather and his son, also named John, married a Mary Hood. Their daughter, Therilda C. Gandy was born in Morgan Co. AL in 1835 and marrried my great-great grandfather Calvin Knight in Tallapoosa Co, AL in 1854. Therilda also had a sister named Elizabeth who was born in Tallapoosa in 1836. Therilda also had four half-brothers, Daniel, Oxford, Alfred and Alford Gandy.
