That sounds like the location of a cemetery I saw a few years ago that was so terribly overgrown I could not even begin to enter it. To get there from Mount Pleasant, head west on SR-1132. The cemetery is on the left side of SR-1132 about 4/10 mile past the intersection with SR-1106. This cemetery is in Tim Rackley's book, "Nash County North Carolina Church & Family Cemeteries A-J." but Hudson Finch is not listed. His son, Edward Buxton Finch, is buried there though. The only stone I could make out was for E. B. Finch, 1838-1918, and his wife Mary J. Finch, 1843-1918 (she was a Batchelor). The book lists just two other graves, N. W. Batchelor, 1818-1894, and Mary Jane Batchelor, no dates. My recollection is that the cemetery is big enough for more than four graves. Perhaps there are some unmarked ones there, or the person who surveyed it had as difficult of a time as I did of seeing what is there. If Hudson Finch is not buried there, then I do not know where his grave is located. If you go south on SR-1106 from that same intersection with SR-1132, there is a Glover/Finch cemetery on the right hand side about 1/2 mile down the road. This cemetery is larger and is also in Tim Rackley's book, but Hudson Finch is not listed there either. Rocky Strickland
