Does anyone know of the burial place in Nash County, NC for: Edward MOORE, who was dead by October 1783 when his will was probated in Nash County. His wife was Elizabeth _______(maiden name unknown) who survived him. She was dead by 1789. Some of their children migrated to Alabama, others probably remained in and around Nash County, North Carolina. The MOORE's owned a great deal of land and they may have had a family cemetery on their home property, which seems to have been on Tar River. Additional land on both sides of Contentnea/Contentney (?) Creek, adjoined that of William PUGH. The land on the Creek was deeded to son William, who married Elizabeth PUGH. This couple was among the early settlers of Alabama prior to 1830, some of their children were born in NC, others in AL.
