We may have spoken before, but if we did, I don't think it was concerning the Toney/Tony query. I just became aware of the Toney queries recently. Actually, I do come down to Carolina at least once a year. I pay my respects to my parents graves and so on. Last year I was down for the Pettiford reunion in Rocky Mount. There is one planned for this summer as well. Hopefully, it will be an annual thing. I already know my own mother's family/heritage(her direct ancestry), and my fathers, but getting "peripheral" ancestry(cousins, uncles, great uncles and so on of my parents) is a bit harder. That is why I was hoping you might be of some help, because you are part of the Toney heritage. Could you tell me Helen's maiden name? I'd appreciate that, and it would help me make some connections. When I was speaking to people at the reunion, they seem to only know basically what I knew. I had a good time, but I did not learn a lot of new ancestral information. Thanks for your help.
