Hi...I too have been trying to search the Freeman's and Dunn's from both Moore and Montgomery Co. NC. My gg grandfather was William H. Freeman b. l8l7 married to Hannah Dunn Freeman b. l8l9. I have had very little luck as both counties have had fires...I feel you already know that. We have had a DNA match on our line of Freeman's. I first found my gg grandfather in Montgomery Co. NC in the l850 census. He and Hannah had children by then. The person we matched to came from the Freeman's from Chesterfield Co. SC. We are now searching for this line in that county. So far, we know of a Jesse and if you would like, I can send you some info on this family. A lady has done research on this line for 35 years...but can't get past Jesse. Now with more of us working together, mabey we will make a break through. I have used a lady to do research for me at the Archives. Her name is Linda Allred Cooper and she did a great job for me.
