Dear Fellow Researchers: I am on the tracks of a James McIllwin/McIllwain, Macklewinne b. between 1820-1822 according to census records. I have located him on the Moore Co., NC census records for the years 1850 (at age 28) and 1860 (age 39) with wife Caroline/Cllinda b. 1825 in NC and in 1870 he was in Sampson Co., and in 1880 in Richmond Co. I suspect that he and his wife married in Moore Co. In 1850 they have the following children: Mary E. 4 Ann M. 3 Patience Eliza 1 So, I am guessing they married around 1845. The name has been mutilated on census transcriptions. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Karen Florida
