Hi, Could someone tell me what records are available in Moore county? I recently received the will of whom I believe to be my husband's ancestor, a Benton Drake, who died in 1824. It mentions children but does not name them. I do want proof that he is the father of my husband's John Drake. John would have been about 18 when his father died. Are there any guardian's records that survived the fire? And how did this will survive? I did receive it from the NC Archives. Thank you. Lois Haile heartbar@quik.com
