Sue, I was looking at the l8l5 tax list for Chatham Co. and I found every name that I was looking for in Montgomery Co. NC census from l830-l850 census. Doesn't mean it is my people. I looked at the l850census for Chatham Co. and could find no Freemans. Am I right? Also I could not find the l820 and l830 and l840 census for Chatham to compare to the Montgomery Co. census. Can you again tell me where I might go to find this. You are heaven sent if these are my people, I have worked so long and so hard and this is the first glimpse of hope I have had.
