To celebrate 20 years the MCGS is sponsoring a seminar on March 20, 2004 at the Country Club of Whispering Pines; 9am - 3:30am. Followed by the MCGS Annual Meeting at 3:45. For both novice and expert genealogists this is a must meeting. All presentations will be given by speakers with outstanding national reputations, Helen F.M.Leary and Carrie Adamson. Two presentations will be given in the morning, and following lunch at the Club, two more will be given in the afternoon. We will learn how early settlers got here, how they lived, and how to track migration and to research names, people, places and things. Vendors of genealogy materials, Margaret Hoffman, Dr AB Pruitt, Scott Craig of Willow Bend Books, and representatives of the North Carolina Genealogical Society will also be present. Cost (including lunch) to hear and learn from these outstanding presenters will be $35 for non-members before March 6 and $40 thereafter. If you join the Moore County Genealogical Society (annual dues of $12 for individuals or $15 for a family) before the seminar, cost will be reduced $5. Further information and registration forms may be obtained at the MCGS website: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncmcgs/
