    1. 1860 Moore Co. Census
    2. Hi everyone, A very nice researcher sent me info on my Barber/Barbour surname from the 1860 Moore Co. census, but he didn't include all the census info. The ancestor was my great great grandmother, Isabella Barber/Barbour. She was listed as head of house and had 2 girls, Nelly and Elizabeth, living in the household with her. I would like to know their ages and their relationship to Isabella. Could someone help me with this info? Thanks so much, Sherry inmansi@aol.com

    3. Sherry, The 1860 US Census did not state relationship to head of household. Nelly is shown as 14 years of age, and Elizabeth as 9 years of age. The census taker shows Nelly's last name as Barber/Barbour by virtue of the ditto marks; there are no ditto marks beside Elizabeth's name, and no indication of a surname. Isabella is shown as 21 years of age. Jim Gilmer -------Original Message------- From: NCMOORE-L@rootsweb.com Date: 07/09/04 21:42:59 To: NCMOORE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [NCMOORE] 1860 Moore Co. 3. Isabella Barber, 21, female, b. NC, farmer, $1000/3000. b. NC Nelly Barber, 14, female, b. NC Elizabeth Barber, 9, female, b. NC I would think that they may be her siblings because of the age. It doesn't give relationship to head of household on the 1860 census. Hope this helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Inmansi@aol.com> To: <NCMOORE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 07, 2004 9:21 PM Subject: [NCMOORE] 1860 Moore Co.
