Cathy, From Rassie Wicker's book on Ancient Records of Moore County, page 330: "Ottery (Autry)-The Ottery's (sic) seem to have first settled between Jackson Springs and Currie's Ridge, on Drowning Creek. They also appeared in the neighborhood of Bensalem Church, and were charter members of that church when it was established in the 1830's."
