    2. Hello list: Could someone out there email me privately if you know where I could glean the most information if I make a trip to NC? Where in Raleigh would I find the most records? Greensboro would be the place to look for Guilford Co??? Where in Greensboro? If I needed records from Richmond, Moore and Stanly counties, where would I find the records kept? What towns? What establishments? Can you help? I'm trying to arrange time to make a genealogy trip and would need these questions answered to make the most of my time. Many thanks, Pam Repp Nashville, TN pamfamilygenie@aol.com

    3. A trip to NC? Then you "MUST" visit the NC Archives in Raleigh. Visit their website to get directions, but a trip to NC for genealogy must include at least 2 days in Raleigh. In Greensboro? Where I'm located? :-) Actually Pam, all NC counties have a Register of Deeds which is the best place for old records, other than the Archives in Raleigh. But, some counties are better than others in terms of genealogy information and almost all counties have local genealogical associations. If you come to Greensboro, I'd visit Guilford College if you have Quaker ancestors. Before any of that though, do some searching on the web of the NC county sites and see what you can get.
