    3. Rebecca: Yes, the Moore County book is officially underway. As with the other prestigious NC County heritage books, the main emphasis is family heritage and genealogy! Nearby Anson, Bladen, (soon) Cleveland, Granville, Rockingham, (soon) Scotland, Stanly and Warren Counties have recently completed beautiful collector's editions (among more than 30 counties compiled since 1990). Proceeds from those books have benefited local historical and genealogical preservation. Each modern Moore County household is invited to submit 500 words and a free picture. Those with ancestors within Moore County by or before 1840 are invited to submit another 500 words and free photo. Our next meeting is 4-22 at 6:30 PM, at Stagecoach Steakhouse in Southern Pines. Bring your own story and picture for a valuable incentive award. If unable to attend, you may mail the material to Moore Co. Book, PO Box 3151, Pinehurst, NC 28374. Even though Cleveland Co., NC - 2 has gone to press, you will find some informative instructions at the website: http://home.earthlink.net/~srapa/index.htm For more specific info. about the Moore County project, you may email; MooreCoBook@Yahoo.com. See you on the 22nd!
