Hello, I just looked at the Moore Co. website, and saw three Alexander McLeod's listed in the 1810 census. Does anyone know anything about them? I have an Alexander McLeod, I've been trying to find info on. Mine was born about 1770 in Scotland, and came to N.C., around 1810. He was married to a Margaret, and there is a possibility her maiden name was McSwain, but not sure, and she was born about 1790 in Scotland. They left N.C. sometime around 1818, and went to Ga. I also noticed some McSweens listed, and am wondering if there's a possibility it might have been McSwain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
