Bob, Would both of the Cumberland Co. NC deed books have Pearces Mill Township information? Was Cumberland at one time part of Moore Co.? I am researching Scoggins from both Moore and Cumberland Co. Donna...There are seven references to a Wm. Scoggins in Vol Two of the deed books. No Scoggins in any of the cemetery books. You may like to contact Allison Scoggins Gray: robbygray@nc.prestige.net . She is d/o Troy Scoggins (Fayetteville) and is into genealogy. Troy and I were school mates in the last century! Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance. Donna...Sorry, forgot to answer all your questions. Yes, the books cover all townships of Cumberland. Yes, Moore was formed from Cumberland in 1784. Cumberland was formed from Bladen in 1754.
