    2. David, This is really reaching, but I, too, am stuck on the name, McPheeters, McFatter, McFetters, etc. In 1809, in Cumberland County, John Calvin Campbell of Moore County married Jane McPheeters. She may have been Jeanette, Janet, Jane or Mary Jane. According to the census of 1850, Jane Campbell was 60 years old, meaning that she was born about 1790. Since the column for place of birth was not checked, I assume that she was born in North Carolina. In 1809, Moore was adjacent to Cumberland, but would have been quite a distance from Bladen. In your search, have you run across a Jane McFatter? Thanks, Cornelia Holmes > Hi, my name is David McFather, and I am trying to find my ancestors. 3. Subject: New Moore Co., NC Heritage book I was excited to learn about the new book; The Heritage of Moore County, NC - 2005! We have just finished our book; Cleveland Co., NC Vol. 2, and were most excited to learn of your book project. In Cleveland County, we received stories, photos and book orders from all over the Country. It was amazing to see how many folk have roots in North Carolina! At first folk seemed reluctant to submit material, but then as the word spread, we had a land-slide of material. Our book is now being type-set and designed for Summer delivery. It has more than 700 stories on families, places, things and events. There are hundreds of heirloom photos accompanying the articles, and it will truly be a collector's edition! We were very pleased with Walsworth Publishing Co. They are the ones doing most of the remaining North Carolina County heritage series. We especially like the fact that they allow us to have a beautiful color cover (other than black)! Don't miss this golden opportunity of being a part of Moore County History and Heritage! The email address for info. is: MooreCoBook@Yahoo.com Proceeds from the sale of our Cleveland Co. Heritage book are going to the Broad River Genealogical society and other preservation projects in Cleveland county. We understand that profits from the Moore County book will also go to Local Genealogical and Historical Preservation. Should you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me at: mhughes81@carolina.rr.com Nancy Hughes, founder Cleveland Co., NC-2 Heritage Book Committee ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------- ----- Original Message ----- From: <Ctcbholmes@aol.com> To: <NCMOORE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, May 06, 2004 7:53 PM Subject: Re: [NCMOORE] Re: [NCBLADEN-L] Re: Bladen County lookup > David, > This is really reaching, but I, too, am stuck on the name, McPheeters, > McFatter, McFetters, etc. In 1809, in Cumberland County, John Calvin Campbell of > Moore County married Jane McPheeters.
