Thank You for the information. That is the Isaac Williamson that had all the children. On Mariner Teague's death certificate it state her was father was Isaac Teague. But he could not have been he died in Dec 1862. Thanks again Jan Bodenheimer janbod@aol.com
Dear Jan, I did not find any of the children you mentioned listed on Bastardy Bonds in Comer's book. I did however find in the same book a reference to a marriage - The Christian Sun, Suffolk, V.A., February 13, 1857 (Volume XIII; Number 43) On the 11th of January (1857) by the same (Wm. J. Williamson, Esq.) Mr. Isaac Teague to Miss Mary (Williamson), second daughter of Hiram Williamson, all of Moore County, N.C. Gaye
I need a look up please. Mariner Teague Born November 25, 1872 in Moore County, NC Isaac G. Teague, Jr. Born 1865 in Moore County, NC Alexander Teague Born 1862 in Moore County, NC Artie Mishie Teague Born abt 1873 in Moore County, NC The following are brothers and sisters. Their mother was Mary "Polly" Williamson. Their father was thought to be Isaac Teague. But according to records found Isaac Teague died in Dec 27, 1862 in the Civil War. Isaac is shown in the 1860 Census of Moore County. He is never found again in the Census. Thanks Jan Bodenheimer janbod@aol.com
James Vann Comer has quite a few in his book "Old Moore County, N.C. Vital Statistics" (1784-1890). They are drawn from the years 1784-1903. I would be happy to do a lookup. Gaye Frady
Hi list members, Does anyone know if Moore Co. had Bastardly Bonds back in the 1800s and if so, how and where would I find them? Thanks, Sherry
Yes it does. I just looked at it. G. Frady The tomb lost its hold in the garden. The tomb lost its hold on the garden. The tomb lost its hold.

http://www.nccountyheritage.com/mooreco.html I was excited to see the website for your new Moore County Heritage Book. Please do everything possible to let the entire county know about the book. There will be a few who will not know about it and they will really miss out on this tremendous opportunity. There will be some who wait until the last minute or fail to get their articles in before the deadline. They will be so sorry to have missed such a wonderful opportunity to send a message to their descendants. In Cleveland County, we are already hearing people say how they regret not taking time to get their stories in the book. I know when the completed book is available, they will feel even worse about the absence of their own family from the pages of this historical book. Good luck! Nancy Hughes
Hi List, Have to correct a mistake here. I'm not the "List Mom" for Moore Co. I only have the Moore Co. Web Page. In fact, I'm not sure I know who the list 'Owner' is now. Hello to all friends of Moore County! We have some exciting news to share; our new website it up and running (but still a work in progress)! Please click on: http://www.nccountyheritage.com/mooreco.html As we celebrate Memorial Day, our hearts swell with pride over the sacrifices that our fathers, uncles, brothers, neighbors and others have made. In our new book, Moore County Heritage - 2005, we will have a special chapter on our Military veterans. One photo and 100 words about each Moore County Veteran will be printed free (we prefer the photo to be "in uniform"). Combine these with the 500 word family articles and photos, and the 500 word pioneer stories & pictures, and we'll have a gold mine of information. Our next meeting is Thursday, June 17, at 6:30 PM. New location; Golden Corral, on Hwy 15-501 in Aberdeen. (Near Wal-Mart). Come and see what all the excitement is about! Proceeds benefit the Moore Co. Genealogical society and other Genealogical preservation projects in Moore County! ____________________________________________________________ Find what you are looking for with the Lycos Yellow Pages http://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.asp?SRC=lycos10
http://www.nccountyheritage.com/mooreco.html It is not working for me. Neither is the main web site: http://www.nccountyheritage.com/ Could it be that the server crashed or that the server is overloaded? If it worked for you once, it means the the domain name server recognizes www.nccountyheritage.com and knows where to route http requests for those links. Good luck on getting your web site running. Hello Cornelia: Thanks for asking about the new Moore Co. Heritage Book! Your best bet is to click on the website: http://www.nccountyheritage.com/mooreco.html The local address is PO Box 3151, Pinehurst, NC 28374. Materials should be mailed there, or better yet, bring them to a meeting of the Book Committee (June 17 at Golden Corral in Aberdeen). Yes, there is a limit to the amount of words, please click on: http://www.nccountyheritage.com/mooreco_order.html Pay particular attention to roman numerals I and II. Each household is entitled to 500 free words and a picture. Pioneers (1840 or before) are qualified to submit another 500 words and another free picture! Hope to see you at our next meeting; Thursday, June 17, 6:30 PM, Golden Corral Restaurant, Aberdeen (on Route 15-501 near Super Wal-Mart). We look forward to receiving your family and military stories! --- Ctcbholmes@aol.com wrote: > 1. To whom should these stories be sent? Email or by > mail? > 2.
