    2. Cathy Cranford-Ailstock
    3. Hi folks Have added the following marriage record and have a question as well: John T. LEWIS To Julia DUNN 1877 Marriage Record Image Surnames Mentioned In Record Are: INGRAM, LEWIS, DUNN, MORRIS, ROBINSON Can be seen at the following URLs: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~cranford/mont0000.html http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~cranford/lewispag.html Ok, here is my question. I am hunting my 3rd great grandfather who was John T. LEWIS, born about 1817 (possibly in Montgomery) listed on census in Montgomery as follows: 1850 Montgomery County, NC census enumerated on the 29th day of August as follows: 406 408 John Lewis age 33 male farmer, born in NC Wincy Lewis age 27 female, born in NC Martha J. Lewis age 7 female born in NC Tera E. Lewis age 4 female born in NC Palestine Lewis age 2 female born in NC And in 1880 he is as follows: Enumerated by W. G. Brandshaw on June 3, 1880, page 6, house number: 48, Troy Township. House # 48 John Lewis, age 64, farmer Wincy, age 58, wife, keeps house W. R. age 24, son D. C. age 26, daughter A. J. age 22, son Living next door at house # 47 is E.B. Jordan, age 26, farmer Living next door at house # 49 is Jefferson Cranford, age 18, farmer (son in law of John Lewis) Living next door at house # 50 is W.M. Lewis, age 33, farmer. My John T. LEWIS was married to Wincy BRUTON, daughter of James Ozier BRUTON and Dianna PARSONS. Now I am trying to find the parentage of my John T. LEWIS. Am wondering if maybe his full name may have been John Thomas Lewis, but at this point, I have no proof of a middle name. On the above marriage record, I am wondering if maybe there is a possible connection to my John. If anyone can help place my John with parents or direct me in any way, I would deeply appreciate it.
