    1. [NCMONT] Another problem to watch for
    2. The jerks are trying hard lately to put the genealogy community out of commission. Today I got a "helpful" message telling me that I should go to my C:\windows\system file and delete any files there to prevent a stealth virus. I guess they thought that if they can't get the virus to me in a file which will do damage automatically, I might not know enough to NOT delete all my system files on my own initiative. Sorry, I know enough about computers to know that there ARE files in my C:\windows\system directory which run the machine. It isn't going to happen. They can be created on your own machine. The first test is to click <Start>, <Find>, <Files and Folders>, and enter the word "scam". Make sure you that the "Look in" box contains "My Computer" or "C:\". If you have the virus, it will find at least one file in the "c:\windows\system" directory. Let me know if I can be of any help.
