Speaking of Ballards (in the NCMontgomery list), others here may like to know of these recent connections in Spencer Ballard's line. Still no firm way to connect my own James B. Ballard to Spencer Ballard at this time. Solomon Ballard, who lived near Spencer in 1850, is one contender to be related to these other two. Corrections/additions appreciated. It has also come to my attention that there may be a connection between both Spencer Ballard and James B. Ballard to the Scarboroughs, Garners and Popes in Duplin/Green Co., NC.
