Is someone on the digest mode of the the list who can talk with Mary, and see if there is a problem with how she is getting her messages in or reading them? I am not in digest mode so I can see if a problem comes up right away. Never have been in a digest mode so I would not be of any help to Mary. Mary if it does not get straightened out, please contact me again, and maybe we can put you on the L list to clear it up and then the messages will come in one at a time? If I remember correctly, they come in, in bundled up message, then you double click that to open up the message, and all the messages should then come up, which you double click to open. Rev War October 5, 1844 The directions to the location of this grave stone are as follows: "Take Rt 731 west from Mt. Gilead. Turn Right onto Bowles Road. Then turn left onto SR #1540, also known as Valley View Church Rd. Look for a small dirt trail on the left side of Valley View Rd. (there may be an old house trailer as marker). The dirt trail winds around a field for about 3/4 mile. Then you must get out of your car and hike into the woods to find the grave stone which is not visible from the clearing. There is no Taylor Robinson on the 1850 Census. This is the only Wm Robinson in Montgomery Co. on the 1850 Census. He has a son who was probably named for Zachary Taylor and could have been called Taylor. Another confirming fact is that he was 43 when he married Jane Cranford and would have been born in 1848 as this Zachary T. was. There is no big gap among the children to indicate when William's first wife, Mary McDonald, died and when he married Ann Harris (The Heritage of Montgomery Co., NC Vol II), so it is hard to tell if his mother was Ann or Mary.
