>Does anyone have any knowledge of any Ropers from Mecklenburg County, >-esp from the early 1800's? >Brandon I do not have anything on Ropers but do have some things on Rossers. Be aware that the way they wrote double esses in the early 1800s the name Rosser looks just like the name Roper. Isaac Rosser was a Revolutionary soldier who apparently lived in Mecklenburg before he moved to Lancaster County, SC and is buried at Six Mile Presbyterian churchyard not far from the present Union County, NC line.
