    3. Philip, The Rodden book by Paul Rodden states: "Elizabeth, daugther of John and Mary Jackson Rodden immigrated to Mecklenburg Co. According to "descendents of Henry Byram of Va" by Mark B. Byram, III (1956), Elizabeth Rodden and Ezekiel Byram were married in Essex Co., Va. Ezekial, for abt 1731 in Essex Co, was the fifth son of James and Elizabeth Byram. mark Byram states that Elizabeth and Ezekial had Eleven children, four of whom he names saying that all four were in either Maury or Franklin counties in Tennessee by 1811. Those four were: 1. Henry Byram, d. in Civil War; m. 1803 Mary Stampier Cook in Meck Co., NC 2. John Byram 3. Benjamin Byram 4. James J. Byram. This is all that he has about the children of Elizabeth and Ezekiel Byram. (I find it hard to believe that Henry, child #1 died in the Civil War. He must have been ancient by that time) Linda Blackwelder ----- Original Message ----- From: Philip Sheppard <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, December 28, 1999 1:28 AM Subject: [NCMECKLE] Byrum, Rodden, Berryhill: Steele Creek > Looking for descendants of Ezekiel and Elizabeth Rodden Byrum.
