I found a reference to a marriage for Benjamin R (could be Rush) Smith and Nancy S Rea, 7 Feb 1832. It just said Meckl. Co. but they lived in Charlotte. Where would this marriage be registered and would it give the parents names? What other resources are there for this town/area? I'm stuck on these two and would appreciate any directions.
