Dear friends: Been awhile since I posted. I found George Homes. The name came to me thru the family as Holmes. Now, George Homes will was excecuted in l802. He had a wife Bethsia(h) no last name. He had a daughter Dorcas Ann who married a Joseph McCommon. Joseph was executor of George's will. George had a second daughter, Mary who married a Presley. I see in the late l700s a Simon Homes, Solomon Homes and Chas. Homes. In l776 I see a Joseph and Robert Homes/Holmes. Does anyone recognize George as a son or brother of someone in your family? I've been searching this a long time. Could sure use some help. Charles McCommon had a will someplace. Joseph was Charles son. Who were the other children of Charles McCommon? Who were Charles brothers, father? Rachel McAnulty was the wife of Charles McCommon. I know there are a lot of McAnultys out there.
