Thanks for the reply. I acquired this name about 14 years ago. I see the Hinson name all the time, but since it's not really mine I have not done any research except for what I had helped Jack with when we were married. He was b. Dothan, Ala and they (Hinson's) had been there for over 100 years. I know they came from the NC/SC coast though. Sorry I can't be of more help. Check out the coastal counties of North Carolina and South Carolina and inland some. There are tons of them. Good luck, Joy
