No will or? also no Marriage record in Mecklenburg Co. Since S.C. did not have records, is hard to trace. In 1993 and 1995, tried going thru records in S.C. to see if will there, to no avail. Sarah Owens, left her estate to her son William A L Owens, with money to purchase land for Jane Minerva Owens Glover. in 1900 when William AL passed away, the will was still open. When I was at the Courthouse, the files were not available in Charlotte, and my husband became ill and had to leave prior to getting to look at them. William AL and Jane King Owens had 13 children. In 1900 census ony I believe 7 were still living. Two or Three girls married Mitchells, about 1865 ot 1869. I also would like a map if someone can tell me where to purchase such, showing the Indian land of Steel Creek Area and York S.C. Thanks to Louise Pettus, This Owens does not tie in. I also have the info on James Glover and his son William Glover, who married Jane M. Owens. Having been ill since 1995, and four years behind time,trying to do this.
