Dear Vicki; I have a JOHN MCCREE listed as married to RUTH ALEXANDER, the daughter of ZEBULON ALEXANDER. Ruth was born in 1756. I have 2 sources for this information: John McCree is mentioned in Zebulon ALexander's will as his son-in-law. "Zebulun Alexander wrote in his Will: .."I hereby constitute and appoint Jane Alexander, my beloved wife, John McCree, my son-in-law and Hez. Alexander to be my sole executors of this my last Will and testament..." (excerpt) Will of Zebulon Alexander written 3 mar 1784, proved Sept. 1784. Mecklenburg County, NC 1784 Will Book A, page 4 The 2nd source is a family history of the ALEXANDERs that was sent to me by another person on this list, Sarah Keesee. I'm not sure but she may have taken it from the book, Brevard Family; The descendants of Jean Brevard of France,Ireland&Maryland by Robert Stephens Hand. I say this because she did cite this book as the source of some of the info she had sent me. Sadly, I was new at this, and didn't document as specifically as I should have the source for the McKee info. I have no other info on either Ruth Alexander or John McCree.
