TO: Joan If I understand your research, you have ancestor Henry Clay "Clinton" Yarber, who married Sarah E. Fox 1859, Jefferson Co., TN; and you do not know the parents of Henry Yarber, and have not been able to establish the connection to NC yet. Try to narrow the scope of your quiries to just one ancestor with just the basic info and locations you have for him/her. I have taken several years in sorting out same name researches - You will use more time disproving than proving, but this is necessary for the process of elimination, and improves our resesarch skills. Someone has said that the woodpecker would make a good genealogist, because it uses its' head and keeps on pecking till the job gets done. Sometime genealogy does require a lot of pecking.
