Joy, Dr. Tibor, and List, All of the following is on our main page at www.rootsweb.com/~ncmeckle . Mecklenburg County Vital Statistics since 1903 (Birth, Marriages, and Deaths) are available from the Register of Deeds Office at 700 East Stonewall Street, Suite 320, Charlotte, NC 28202. Property records from 1763 and Marriage records prior to 1913 are available from the Register of Deeds Office at 720 East Fourth Street, Charlotte, NC 28202. Copies of all Mecklenburg Vital Records are available from the North Carolina Archives at Genealogical Services, State Library of NC, 4647 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699-4647. The county offices require a specific name and date before they will respond to any "look-up" requests. Obits and Census Records may be found at the Carolina Room of our Public Library. The folks there will do limited research and can be reached at www.plcmc.org . All of the above resources require fees for "look-ups" and copies. If Charlotte is not convenient to your locale, we have a number of volunteer and professional researchers that can obtain vital record copies and research information. A list of these individuals may be found on the main page at www.rootsweb.com/~ncmeckle and the list is provided as a public service and is not endorsed or recommended by the NCGenWeb Project, RootsWeb, Inc., or the NCMECKLE List Administrator.
