Tuckasegree Ford can be found in Western Mecklenburg County, across the Catawba River from Mount Holly (in Gaston County), NC. This spot afforded a means of crossing the Catawba River to land west of Mecklenburg County. Today, there exists Tuckasegee Road, leading from Charlotte, generally westward, toward the Catawba River.
