John, do you have any information of Ferrell's that married into the Alexander family? I am researching the Ferrell Surname from that same area. It seems that the Ferrell's, Alexander's, Christenbury's, Fite's, Jordon's and Alltons' were all a close knit community. They lived in an area that to this day is still referred to as Ferrelltown, Mecklenburg County. I have a copy of a letter that J.B. Alexander sent to the Charlotte Observer pertaining to the first Methodist Church. If you think there is a connection, please contact me.
