Okay Donna let me explain something. I am Betty Johnson. Maybe you guessed that? My families in Mecklenburg were McCommon, Holmes, McAnulty, Rogers, Harvey and lots of others. Now my ggggrandfather had dealings with a Love. Land deals. We have a whole page of Loves married into our McCommon family. Before we were in N. C. we were all a big group in Pa. not far from Philadelphia. We all came together to N.C. what was then Mecklenburg Co. but later was split into Rowan, Cabarrus and others. We followed the minister Craighead from Pa to N.C. He preached at Rocky River Presbyterian Chruch which is still there. Only, rebuilt. My families were centered around Rowan and Cabarrus counties. As a matter of fact the church has a site you can get to. How far are you from N.C.? I am sure if you can find someone who has a book of Wills they would do a lookup for you. In the meantime I will see what I can find online for you.
