    3. Can anyone relate to the info below? Thanks. I have been using my Comptom Map software trying to get some new ideas on Henry Harris. The following is some of the things that I found: Eleanor Harris McCain and Hugh Mccain are buried in Waxhaw, Union Co. at Tirzah Presb. Church Cemetery. Tirzah Church Cemetary Road runs W from County Rd. 2100 to NC/Sc line. Highway 29 from SC intersects tirzah Rd. Near this area is a McCain Road. In 1790 two McCains, one Harris (John), one Yarborough and many Helms lived in Mecklenburg District 16, now city of Charlotte area. Many McCains lived in district 17 which is in Tirzah area. In 1790 most of this district 17, and going very near Beaverday Creek, was in SC. A Hugh McCain is listed as a buyer of James McCorkall's estate items on 28 Oct 1760, Edgecombe Co. NC. John Harris witnessed a deed 3 Nov 1750 Edgecombe Co. NC. There are many other names in Edgecombe County at this time that later appear in Mecklenburg NC and Kershaw Co. SC area (approximaty 50/75 miles from each other), and later still in SE AL. Eleanor Harris McCain and Hugh Mccain are buried in Waxhaw, Union Co. at Tirzah Presb. Church Cemetery. In 1790 most of this district 17, and going very near Beaverdam Creek, was in SC. The land that Henry sold to Israel Helms on 11 June 1847, Union Co., NC was located on the waters of Beaverdam Fork of Richardson Creek. This creek is in the central section of the county just below the town of Monroe. Union Co. NC, Deed Book 1, Page 511 - 11 June 1847, Henry Harris of Union to Israel Helms of same, for $119, sold 59 acres on the waters of Beaverdam Fork of Richardson Creek, Wit J. W. Smith. Acknowledged in Court July Term 1847. Little Richardson Creek flows SW from Lee Lake, near Federal Hwy 74 and SE suburbs of Monroe. Beaverdam Creek flows south from Richardson Creek, S of Monroe and W of County Hwy 207. It appears that Beaverdam Creek is less than 1 l/2 miles. Based upon the wording of the land transfer, land could be anywhere on this creek. Helms Shortcut road goes E and W intersecting with C207 and comes within a mile of Beaverdam Creek.
