    3. Richard, You will probably get many responses to this; most of them far more informed than mine. The road is Tuckaseegee Road and currently runs more or less east to west from about the center of Charlotte, goes by West Mecklenburg High School and over to Wilkison Blvd just above the Charlotte Airport. It has been somewhat altered over the years, but was one of the early roads in that area. As I recall, it once ran all the way to the Catwaba river and was one of the more popular forges in the area above the SC line. As for the history of the area, that's a big order! I could refer you to some books if you really want to dig. Many people out there are far better informed than I, but I have never run across the family name "Seegee" in my reading. I checked the index of several of my books about the area and found nothing.
