My Mitchell family was a Robert M Mitchell, wife Lydia, son John M, who married a Penelope? These people ended up in St Tammany Parish, LA early 1800,'s. On the 1790 Mecklenburg census, there is a Robert and a John, next to a MeGee family and a McCullough family. I have found a MeGee family from Mecklenburg, who happened to have a daughter name Penelope? and a McCullough family, same place, who happened to have a daughter name Lydia? Can't prove all my little puzzle pieces. In your search, please let me know if you see anything that might fit. Thanks.
