    3. Everyone: Be careful about opening attachments. I got one with a virus in the attach. My virus scan catches the virus before it has a chance to infect my PC. I Got rid of it and then got another email from the same person with another virus in the attach. How are they getting our messages? Both of these had part of a previous message that I had sent to the message board before. I just thought I would warn everyone that it looks ligit until you open it. Joan

One of our relatives researching the Black family had posted aquery almost two years ago with no repsonse, so I sent the present query in just as a hunch. Your response is the third I have received. The relatives researching the Black family would love to hear more from you, and we would appreciate corresponding via e-mail with you. We don't know of any relatives in Mississippi at the present time, but we can't rule the possibility out. I personally did not have the ancestry of James Irving, although, it may very well be forthcoming. We do have descendants from several of the children of William Black and Mary Irwin in e-mail contact. Please join us in our research and exchange all the data we might com across. thank, Aubrey Black e-mail <awbabilene1@cs.com>

Robert and Mary (Alexander) Irwin; Mary was d/o Zebulon and Hannah (Hodgson) Alexander, and Zebulons' ancestors were.....(if you want them). Gen. Robert Irwin had a sister named Margaret Irwin. She married Andrew Herron. It is all I have on the Irwins anc. My uncle was James H. Black of Clarksdale, MS. Do you have any kin today in MS? Regards. Mac.

    3. Message from Louise Pettus, author of the story on Enoch Gilmer—Kings Mountain Spy, which apparently has a virus attached to it: I do not believe that the virus (that has been reported by a number of people on this Mecklenburg site) was attached to my story when I sent it to someone. My Mac has shown no signs of having a virus and I have not opened an attachment from anyone that I do not know for at least three months. I do not know Kathleen Overman Tobia...so believe she got it from someone else. So, do not open any attachment that has my name connected to it. I am not sending attachments, nor am I opening any unless I am absolutely certain of their origin. It is in poor condition. When I was a young boy it was out on the shelves but is now in the rare book room. you have to ask for it. it traced all of the Henry Hunter and Martha Sloan children forward. The manuscript of Rev Humphrey Hunter you refer to is now in the research library (NC records) at the University of NC-Chapel Hill. I looked forever for it, hoping that the original text would expand upon the info in Historical Sketches and name Rev. Humphrey's mother and father, ut it was not the case. Our only hope is the Presbyterian records in Derry and the Huguenot connection. the name Humphrey is not a typical name there and may hold some promise.
