    3. Neil & Eileen: I have an ancestor, Sarah H Rogers who married Samuel Joseph McCrum/McRum in Mecklenburg Co. NC in 1835. She was born in South Bethany,1806, and buried in Ebenezer Presbyterian Church cemetery in Cotton Plant Ms. 1863. They are my 3rd grandparents. They moved from NC to Ms. after marriage. My greatgrandfather, Joseph Stephen McCrum moved from Ms. to Tx. An unnamed source has reported that Sarah's middle name was Hadassah. If she is one of yours, please contact me at hewitt2@mindspring.com. Thanks..

    2. Neal & Eileen Mullins
    3. Hello All, I'm looking for a Rogers family (I don't have parent's names). They might have lived in Mecklenburg in the late 1800's. They had a son William born in 1796 and a son Joel born in 1798. Not sure if there were more brothers or sisters. I know that William married Mary Mitchell and had children: Williamson and Amanda Melinda. Joel married Sally Norred and had children: Marshall P., William, James, George and Caroline. If you know who the parents were and if they lived in Mecklenburg, any information would be appreciated. Thank You Very Much. Eileen Rogers Mullins

    3. Kent sent helpful suggestions; let me add one more: PLEASE put the surname in the subject line. If you also know the wife's maiden name, include it there also. e.g. Huffines/Williamson >>>>>>>>>>>> >Please remember Who, What, When and Where are very important for Genealogy. >Post should give; >Who, Given and surname and spouse(s) >When are Where were they born, married , lived and died. >If dates are not certain a date range or use about. >What are you looking for parents, siblings , spouses, locations. >What were some of the sources for your data >The more thought and specific information put in a post the higher the >likely hood of getting good useful replies back. 1. [NCMECKLE-L] Gatewayed messages
    2. Cynthia H Porcher
    3. Constance, I think the gatewayed messages are included when there are few regular Mecklenburg Co messages. All of the lists have been suffering since Sep 11. I am on several, and there are very few messages and lots of gatewayed messages on them all. I have actually found a litte data on some of these gatewayed messages, but I agree that they are seeming to "take over" the lists -- not just Mecklenburg. I wonder if the gatewayed messages are fillers due to lack of participation from our list members. I don't think there would be as many (or any) if we had messages and queries from the list. I may be wrong, but this is the way it looks to me. chp on 10/3/01 4:01 PM, NCMECKLE-D-request@rootsweb.com at NCMECKLE-D-request@rootsweb.com wrote: > Hello fellow list members, > I have decided that these gatewayed messages are just overwhelming me. 1. [NCMECKLE-L] List Admin Message - Gatewayed Messages
    2. Paul Buckley
    3. Greetings list. Due to the complaint proliferation since our last poll, I have asked RootsWeb to turn off the Gateway feature. Seems that a large part of the problem is the folks using the forum boards as an email discussion list and the resulting gatewayed message to the email list becomes disjointed and confusing, to say the least. Have not received word from RootsWeb as to when the feature will be turned off. Hopefully it will be within the next day or so. A reminder, however, is that queries posted to the email list do not automatically appear on the forum board and it may be desirable to post a message to both the forum board and the email list. Regards, Paul Buckley, NCMECKLE listowner
