Amelia married Peter Ingle on August 31, 1861 in Mecklenburg Co. Peter was from Lincoln Co. NC, born about 1824.     3. Sounds like a good idea to give a little information on the names we're researching. So, I will start over.... All these names were/are in the Mecklenburg (later Union) Co area: JAMES P. BELK, b. 1765, son of BRITTAIN BELK & MARY BAKER.....I have found the cemetery and the tombstones of many of the family...I'd like to be able to fill in the children of James P. Belk, who I'm told had 22 children....I have names of 16, but not all the families & descendants.. James P Belk lived 111 years. BIBBY---NATHANIEL BIBBY, son of JOHN BIBBY & JANE RUTH, was b. abt 1763, in NC...was in Anson Co NC & Lancaster Co SC in 1790....I believe in the often disputed area that changed from NC to SC and back again. NATHANIEL BIBBY married ELIZABETH LEGGETT about 1790-95, and raised a large family in the area. Their son, JOHN LEGGETT BIBBY, married MARY BELK, dau of JAMES P BELK (above) and MARGARET LEGGETT/LIGGETT. [John Legget Bibby & Mary Belk were cousins] I'm looking for any information about these families, will share all I have on them. Other names allied with these families: PLYLER, FLYNN, COCHRAN, MUCKLEROY/McELROY, POORE/POERE, COTTON, BREWSTER and others in the old Mecklenburg area. Doris....A Texan in Georgia.....     3. Velma, My Grahams were: Robert Graham and wife Mary Craig Graham . Robert's sisters Anne, who never married and sister Margaret who md a Mr. Johnston. A cousin told me Robert also had a brother John and a brother Joseph who went to Mecklenburg County, NC but I can't find anything substantial on that. I do have solid proof of Robert's sister Anne because she left some of her estate to her brother Robert. She had never married and that is in the paperwork. There are law-suits involved over in Wythe Co, VA having to do with Anne's bequests to Robert's children from his 1st and 2nd marriages. Claire

But, even better is a roll call that gives particulars (including dates), not just surnames. :-) I never contact anyone on the basis of a surname only, and I have seen several surnames listed that I have from a very small amount of information to a great deal of information. I would like more information on several lines, but I don't have the time to contact everyone with that name in the hopes that I can share information on a mutual line. Can we start again? Wife was TERESA EUSEBIA RICHARDS (b. 1810 SC, d. 1880 in Paw Creek, Mecklenburg Co NC), daughter of Benjamin Walker Richards and Wilmoth Crippin Alexander, who he married in 1833 in SC. - Children: Mary Amelia Graham (married Charles Lewis Gibson and moved to Seminole Co GA), Sarah Jane "Sally" Graham (married George Washington Hill and moved to Union Co SC), Benjamin Gist Graham (married Caroline McKnight and moved to Union Co NC), Margaret Wilmoth Graham (married John Thomas Clark and moved to Seminole Co GA), Susan Emily Graham, Elizabeth Susan "Lizzie" Graham (married Thomas Thorn Sandifer and lived/died in Paw Creek, Mecklenburg Co NC), William Augustus Graham (married Caroline McKinley Robinson and lived/died in Bainbridge GA), and Lucy Ellen Graham (married James Walter Query who died in Wellford SC). Emmor and Teresa Graham are my husband's great-great grandparents. Emmor's family is from PA; Teresa's family is from NH and PA. JAMES HENRY McDOWELL DELLINGER (b. 1891 Lincoln Co NC, d. 1940 Mecklenburg Co NC), son of James McDowell Dellinger and Susanna Jane Beal, married 1910 in Catawba Co NC to CARRIE EMMALINE BALLARD (b.1893 Lincoln Co NC, d. 1983 Mecklenburg Co NC), daughter of William Henry Ballard and Julia Eugenia Jemima Saunders. Henry and Carrie Dellinger are my grandparents. Their families lived in Lincoln Co NC before moving to Mecklenburg Co NC.     3. I am looking for any information on the marriage of my Grandparents in Mecklenburg Co. The marriage would have taken place probably around the late 1920's to 1930. They lived in Charlotte only a short time and had one child there. My Grandparent's names were Ella Frances Poore and George Clifford Taylor. As far as I know, there were no other family connections in the area. Both were striking out on their own when they met and fell in love. Thanks, Derrick Fowler
