    3. Olena, If you are available to do exchange research where you live, take a look at the websites listed in my signature. Both have people in many areas who will do look ups for you. You need to be able to tell them what to look up and you have to be willing to wait for them to do the search at their convenience, but I haven't found it to be a hardship. I've done lookups mostly in our libraries obituary collection. I have had look ups done for marriage licenses and cemetery headstone photographs. I've been very pleased. 3. Hello Deborah.... In another branch of our Reed family (other than my direct line) , and much later in time....we have a Mary Elizabeth Dixon who married Jesse Jenkins Reed ( b. 11 Mar 1840 ; s/o Cumberland Presbyterian minister Rev. Carson Pate Reed)...this line of Reeds had removed from Mecklenburg Co by then and gone to Giles Co TN ca. 1809/10. If these are your Dixons , then some of them migrated right along with them . I'm copying some descendants of this line who would know much more than I do (just told you everything I know) happy hunting...........Malinda Jones ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, September 26, 1999 10:13 AM Subject: [NCMECKLE] Dixon/Dickson Family - Reedy Creek/Back Creek/Mallard Creek > Looking for any information about Elizabeth Dixon died ca. 1815 in Cabarrus > County on Reedy Creek. There is a listing for Providence Presbterian Church in Matthews ( Metropolitan Charlotte) that has one listing for Brown (John Brown - died 4-2-1782) and several McCullah/McCulloch - none for an Margaret, wife of Isaac - but there is one for Elizabeth McCullan, wife of Isaac (died 9-9-1819). If this seems to be the persons you are interested in let me know and I will send you all pertinent info in the book PROVIDENCE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 1767 - 1967.

    3. Kay, If this is the Providence Presby (now New) there are many McCullogh buried there but didn't see and Isaac. There is only one Brown buried there: John Brown, d. apr 2, 1782 age 13 yrs. This Providence Presby is in Mecklenburg Co. however, so I guess it is not the same Providence as New Providence. There are about 20 McCulloughs but they all died in the early 1800s. None are there that died prior to 1800.
