    1. [NCMECKLE] MELLON family anyone?
    2. Craig Beeman
    3. MELLON, CRAIG "Hello again Cousins!" Might you recognize any of the below MELLON family? Am still engaged in my on-going effort to trace "Our CRAIG Family's Descendants" from the mid-1700's down to approximately 1920 or so, for the benefit of future generations of family researchers. Once the 1930 censuses become available, I hope to be able to continue tracing CRAIG family descendants through 1930, as well. Am hoping to be able to learn the identities of all these children's spouses, and if at all possible, the names of all their children. Will gladly share what I know of this family's CRAIG family ancestry with anyone who might either descend through this family, or share a strong research interest in same. Descendants of Edward W. and Mary Etta (CRAIG) MELLON Edward W. MELLON, born Nov 1849 in , , SC. He married Mary Etta CRAIG, born Feb 1869 in , , NC. Notes for Edward W. MELLON 1900 Mecklenburg Co., NC census, Charlotte, Charlotte TWP #1, 42-50/9-51. Children of Mary Etta CRAIG and Edward W. I am kinda hung up on children born about 1800+- a few, Hiram, Charity, others, most ended up in Union or Mecklenburg Co. were these still following the clans, we find the Helms, Pressley, hargett families around from the start. The lack of connections has me thinking this is the case, ???Any ideas?? Joy ??? 3. I disagree with the Title... Should be War Between the States, but someone out there may like to take a look. Chris Reeder Florence, SC Cornell University has put the ENTIRE "War of the Rebellion" on the internet!!! Over 60 volumes!!! It includes scanned images of reports, correspondence, seizures of Southern property, etc. sent to the War Dept. during the Civil War. It includes both Union and Confederate accounts. It is in chronological order but there is no online index. Many libraries have the index. Find the volume and page number for your subject in the index at the library. Go to this website http://moa.cit.cornell.edu/MOA/MOA-JOURNALS2/WARO.html

    2. Starr
    3. Hello All, Oh Romulus, Romulus where did you go? Romulus Harris was born 1848 in Rockbridge Co. VA. He married first to Mary E. Reeves, dau. of P.H. Reeves and Elizabeth. He married second in 1887 in Ritchie Co. WV to Laura B. Parrish. They then disappear. Where did they go? Any chance it was to Mecklenberg? We think our Harris family has ties to that county but can not pin point it yet. How about the 1880 census record? Is he there? All help greatly appreciated! And there is an Ida Boyce, who I think might have Mocks from this part of NC. Know she has them in GA. If you can not find her address, I'll be glad to find it for you. I know she has a nice website, but her email address I have never reaches her <G> so I won't share that. Since she's an active participant of the Mock Mail List listed above, I'm sure they'll have her link at the address I do have. Wish you good luck and if you need anything els, please let me know.
