The earliest marriage book I have for McDowell County, NC is 1870-1894. I checked this book for marriages between ANY McDonald and anyone. There are NO McDonalds listed at all, male or female. In a later book the only McDonald is: John T McDonald marries Ada Chase parents of male: J A McDonald & C P Mcdonal parents of bride: G F Chase & Emma P Chase Marion < NC 1 Nov 1900 Sorry I couldnt be of more help.
