I am searching for any MORTON family in NC. For mega years we've been told my gg-grandfather, David MORTON, came from the Buncombe Co, NC area, and now find that it was only a "guestimate." I need to connect to other North Carolina MORTON researchers in the hopes that I can find a home for my clan who ended up in Anderson/Union/Knox County, TN by 1817 or perhaps even earlier. I have checked census records, deeds, abstracts, wills, etc. with no mention of them, thus the hopes that another researcher might be missing 4 or 5 links. Thanks so very much. Nina MORTON T.
